Walking With God...

Man the weeks are fr flying by way to fast.  It feels like I got here yesterday and yet its been 10 weeks in texas.  The people here are awesome. I know I've said that a few times but they are seriously amazing. From the missionaries I've served around, to the members, to the people we are teaching.  I've been put in a very good area!

Can't believe its already December!  This week I went on an exchange with one of the zone leaders and that was super lit.  We taught two lessons one of which was literally almost a 2 hour lesson about te plan of salvation.  The lady we taught that lesson to wants to get baptized but, her son said the font is disgusting and we dont ever change out the water and that she is going to get covid and die. Soooo we basically used about 5 different chemicals and scrubbed down the whole font. When we had the lesson the next day and showed her the font she was like wow its very clean ill have to make sure to tell my son.  So hopefully she gets baptized.  While on exchnages we got fed barbacoa which is apparently usually cow tongue but in this case it was the face of the pig hahaha kinda gross thinking about what you're eating but other than that it was straight fire literally (very spicy but good).

Thanksgiving!! This was so much fun. Woke up and went and had a turkey bowl game it was so fun, we also had two dinners and boy we feasted.  Literally sooo good.  Hermano Gomez fed us the usual.  Our investigator had cancelled on us but thats ok.  Then hermana pacheco fed us like 3 different types of meat and some other stuff from puerto rico.  It was chicken, lamb, and a mystery meat that we have no idea what it was hahaha.

It rained like 3 days in a row this week and started to flood.  Pretty dope because I absolutley love te rain it just makes me so happy. The one thing I dont like is that with the rain it brought in a cold front and that was no fun.  The little old lady is back haahah.  Seriously love this little lady. She was feeding us one night this week.  Litterally in area book her contact specifically says to not eat from her and that shes crazy hahahha.  We went anyways and holy crap she hooked us up with so much food.  Then gave us all this canned food, two boxes of cereal, and a cake! Shes the goat.  We thanked her and everthing and its so funny she also says "de nada guapos".  I'm her fav for sure haha.

This week was transfers so the sistrict is getting seperated... Super sad ngl.  Transfers are the worst. You become such good friends with all these people just to get shipped all over in different areas. Had to say goodbye to some of the elders I had served around and that was super sad.  Suprisingly me and my comp stayed together.  Also recieved some news from the mission president in Mexico that they are officially sending american missionaries back to my mission! So im amsuming ill be gone by the end of the year!

Grace... This word. Not to sure how I felt about it.  Ever since I've been here theres always people and signs saying we are saved by grace and we dont have to do anyting because grace will save us.  So I've been trying to create my own definition of grace.  I came up with, "walking with God". After we have given it our best, given him as much as we can, he does for us what we cant do for ourselves.  It's His gift of divine help to help and influence us to become more like the savior. It's His love, His influence, not anything we can do but what he did for us.

Love you all hope you guys are staying safe! Have a great week!
