La luz infinita...

Buenos días!! I hope you're all doing good! This week was a great week, a week filled with miracles that's for sure! We have transfers next week and im really hoping i will stay another! This transfer is an 8 week transfer but has flown by! I would love to stay because the baptisms we had lined up all fell through because of the stuff with covid so I'm hoping things will get figured out by then!

Yesterday we started talking to Brenda. She's 23 years old and is super awesome! We ended up teaching her and her husband a very cool lesson about prayer, faith, and repentance. The spirit was very strong in the lesson and this young couple absolutely loved what we were teaching! Hopefully they will keep progressing! Anselio and Miriam are progressing alot! I think we will be extending a baptismal date pretty soon! Corby and Romina, the young kids we are teaching get back this week so hopefully we can get in contact with them!

We also had Zone conference this week over zoom for 4 days. It was wack but we had a session that was an hour long everyday for 4 days. We gave a training on Thursday on how to weekly plan! Then afterwards we ate some pretty nasty food hahah. Intestines and kidneys I'm pretty sure but there's a pic down below!

In my personal study I read:
"7 And if Christ had not risen from the dead, or have broken the bands of death that the grave should have no victory, and that death should have no sting, there could have been no resurrection.
8 But there is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ.
9 He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death." -Mosiah 16:7-9

I absolutely love those verses becuase we can truly learn that Jesus is the Christ. That everything he did was out of love, and he did it for us. He is the light and the life, the way, and through Him we are all saved from eternal torment. His light is infinite and his love is pure! I know He lives!

Love you all hope you have a great week! Reach out to me I would love to hear from you!!!:)

Servir y ayudar...

Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a great week! These last two weeks have been crazy but super good! Also hit 6 months left tomorrow which is so weird and just makes me so sad to think about how fast the time has gone. It didn't hit me until half of the sisters I came in with went home or are going home like this week.

To start off! Covid hit us hard... like everything was normal then in every single lesson we last Friday everyone was sick, or knew someone that was sick. Covid has been spreading like wildfire down here and some of the missionaries have it as well. We are also the only state in mexico that is red, which basically means we have a lot of covid lol. So that put a little bit of a switch on what we can and can't do. We were told by our mission president we can't enter houses to teach or eat with members anymore so that was a rip but through all we have seen some great miracles and have been able to get in contact with people becuase everyone is at home so that was sweet!!

We found a family while doing calls and they are super interested there names are Anselio and Miriam! We taught them the restoration and it has probably been my favorite lesson I've ever taught in my mission. They had such good questions and the lesson just flowed so well and he was just saying how it all made sense. They have been progressing alot and hopefully will keep progressing! This week we got a call from our Mission leader to go give a blessing to Sébastien one of his buddies and also bless his house. To say the least it was a crazy experience. He had been taught by other missionaries but then wasn't interested. He now said he wants a fresh start and wants to hear what we got to share so we will see what happens!

The area has been progressing so much recently we have a couple baptisms coming and and have to reschedule the one for Romina and Corby because Vanessa has covid!! That was sad but hopefully it will be soon!!! Keep them in your prayers!

Quick scripture I found in personal study this week "And now, for the sake of these things which I have spoken unto you—that is, for the sake of retaining a remission of your sins from day to day, that ye may walk guiltless before God—I would that ye should impart of your substance to the poor, every man according to that which he hath, such as feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and administering to their relief, both spiritually and temporally, according to their wants" mosiah 4:26. I invite you all to find opportunities to serve and help others to feel the pure love of Christ this week, you don't know the difference you can have I'm someone's life with a simple act of service!

Love you all have a great week!!

Sequir adelante...

Anotha great week here in mexico! I hope life has been treatin yall swell! This week had its ups and downs as usual but I really think we are getting in the grooves of things and are definitely acting on more promptings from the spirit!

Teaching this week was sweet! We went over to Normas house (baptism date for 29th!) and we taught her fam about the plan of salvation and then a couple days later the Gospel of Jesus Christ! She's been progressing a lot and we are really trying to focus on her family and trying to get them to progress togther. Norma attended church this Sunday as well! We taught Romina and Corby (2 kids that had a date for the 15th but we changed it to the 22nd) the plan of salvation Saturday night and it was a super cool experience and seriously they are some of the coolest little kids I've ever met. We had some crazy experiences this week with people asking us about visions and dreams and evil spirits and all that good stuff. For 3 days straight the spirit changed the direction of the lesson and we taught something completely different. It's been super cool to see the spirit guide us in our lessons because we really have been teaching to the needs of the people and it's just been so cool to see the change in their lives.

It's been definitely a hard week but a good one! I was reading a talk from pres Nelson this week "moving forward" and I love what he says here! "We are here on earth to be tested, to see if we will choose to follow Jesus Christ, to repent regularly, to learn, and to progress. Our spirits long to progress. And we do that best by staying firmly on the covenant path."  I've learned the importance of keeping our covenants, daily repentance, and our desire to follow Jesus Christ is our eternal progression! Progression is eternal and there's always things we can be doing to be better followers and disciples of Jesus Christ!

Love you all have a great week!!!

Feliz Ano Nuevo...

Buenas noches!!! I hope everyone is doing good! This past 2 weeks have been awesome and Christmas and new years was a blast! The amount of food I've eaten this past 2 weeks is unreal and idk how I didn't throw up hahaha.

To start off we put the 2 kids that we've been teaching for awhile on date for the 15th of January! We are super excited for them! Their names are Corby and Romina so pls keep them in your prayers! We invited Arturo to be baptized and he wants to but is waiting for his divorcement to go through before so hopefully we can set a date for him soon but the sad thing is he's not from our area so we are probs gonna send him off this week to the other missionaries. Carlos is doing good! He had a date for 8th to be baptized but hasn't been to church and we haven't had much contact with him so we will see what happens!
We have been finding some new people who are progressing which is awesome but the only difficult thing we have in our area is that we have so many green dots/people to teach and it's just hard finding out who's really interested so we are just trying to clean up area book rn.

When we called Arturo, we invited him to be baptized and he told us his situation with the divorcement and stuff and we just invited him to pray about it and when we finished the call we asked him to give the closing prayer and he gave it and afterwards was kind of like saying he didnt know if his prayer was right and so I told him it was perfect and after he asked me " do you think God really hears my prayers?" That's the first time I've ever been asked that in my mission and I maybe teared up a little hahah but basically just testified of the power of prayer and the love of God. I think one of the best things that makes being a missionary the best is teaching about and listening to people pray for the first time.  They are just so honest with their Heavenly Father and you can truly tell they are talking with their father in Heaven. The power of prayer is real, never forget that. Never forget to kneel down and thank your Heavenly Father for all the many blessings you have daily! I invite you all to pray daily and make your prays sincere and heart felt and I know that the Lord will answer your prayers and that's a promise!

Love you all! I'd love to hear from you all so shoot me an email!! Have a great week!!
