Yo yo yo!! Hope everyone is loving life! Sorry its been a hot minute since the last time I wrote one of these! It's been a crazy last several of weeks with many ups and downs and miracles! Overall I'm loving life and sadly my mission is slowly coming to an end. We just had transfers and I have 3 more transfers left in my mission. Which is 4 months... super crazy how fast the time has gone by!! Im staying another transfer and recieved a new comp named Elder Shock! My first american comp and let's just say I'm grateful for that haha. But anyways I'll try to keep this email as short as possible!
To start off, the last 3 transfers I've had in this area have changed my life. I've had so many life changing experiences and have met so many awesome people here and I can't thank my Heavenly Father enough for putting me exactly where I needed to be. Sadly a lot of our friends we are teaching haven't been able to progress due to work and other things happening in their life. But I am content with how far they've come. I know they haven't been baptized but the most important thing I've seen is they've all grown their relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. My favorite thing over all is hearing people pray for the first time. Seeing them act and choosing to change their lives. I know God is in every little detail of our lives and knows exactly what we need and when we need it. Every single person we've taught here has a special place in my heart and I know one day they will all accept the Gospel and be recieved into the kingdom of Heaven. Hopefully we can see a lot of miracles this transfers, so I ask you to please keep them all in your prayers!
Some of the people we are teaching have a couple baptism dates in April! Karla and Santiago is a mom and son. They will be baptized on April 9th! They are such a cute little fam and we are super excited for them! Another is an 11 year old named Bricia! She will be baptized as well on the 9th! Norma needs to get married before she can get baptized with all her family hopefully by the end of April! Anselio and his family are so awesome! We've been sharing messages with them over phone at like 10 at night and they believe everything but Anselio works so he can't come to church. We shared a scripture with him last night about how God is a God of miracles and talked about miracles. We are going to do a fast with him and his family Thursday!! I ask you all to please pray so that they can see a miracle in their lives and be able to come to church! We also have a couple new people we found recently that are showing a lot of interest and want to learn more so that will be cool to see where it goes with them!!
One of the coolest little miracles I saw this last week was with someone named Arturo... maybe there's some of you who recognize that name. When I first got to mexico I was in this area for 2 weeks then I got transfered transfered to San Luis. During those 2 weeks Elder Torres and I taught him every night. The week after I left he was baptized! Anyways he got his work changed and couldn't come to church. During my entire time when I got back to this area I always wanted to meet him but he never came to church and I didn't know where he lived. Long story short we were at a lesson and afterwards I felt like we should find out where arturo lives. I didn't know anyone who knew where he lived though. We had a member come with us to the lesson and she knew the street he lived on! So we went to the street and couldn't find his house. A member came out of his house and we were talking in front of a house for like 15 minutes and a car pulled up to this house we were standing in front of. You wouldn't believe who it was...ARTURO!!! It was such a cool experience to meet him in person and such a miracle that we were there just at the right time! I almost teared up saying bye to him hahah but there's a pic down below!!
Scripture of the week: "Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever." I think this verse goes perfectly with these last couple weeks. God is our strength. When we feel like quitting, and there's definitely been times when I've wanted to, we can always receive help and guidance from our loving Heavenly Father. I am a witness He is in the details of our lives whether we recognize it or not. He knows each of us individually and wants to help us always we just have to let him into our lives!!
Everyone better watch general conference this week!!
